This is the latest DJI gimbal, although it has been on the market for over 1 year. DJI simplified the name Osmo Mobile to OM as it was already the way it was called by its users.

The OM 4 came out with some new features that have amazed those who use it, including me. From the new DynamicZoom option that allows you to make the Hitchcock Effect in order to create videos with the style of Hollyhood or the cloneMe Pano option that creates a panorama from several photographs, which allows you to pause the capture to give us time to put ourselves in the next frame in the pose we want. With the Go Hands-free function lets you control the OM 4 to take pictures or start video recording from gestures.

Another important aspect is the physical specs of the hardware like the possibility of supporting heavier smartphones and being a little lighter than its predecessors. With my current smartphone Redmi Note 9 Pro I started having problems with the old gimbal (Jcrobot s5) not being level due to its weight and the DJI OM 4 solved that problem.

You can buy through the amazon website. The usual price is €149 but I managed to buy it during prime day for €109. It was a good discount. Nothing like waiting for this annual event.

With these rubber bands it is possible to organize cables, quickly and easily, free of tangles. It allows you to attach cables to a tripod or to attach a tripod to a backpack or even a flash to a tripod that does not have a hotshoe support. Its uses are endless.

Its easy to make your own custom length cord ties.

This material can be found in haberdashery shops or reusing materials from old things. In my case, I took the elastic cord of an old tent rod. The locks were recovered from clothes and backpacks that went to trash.

Cut the elastic cord in your desired lenght, join the ends and tie a knot.

Put the lock on the other side of the loop and the elastic cable organizer is ready.

The price is attractive and the quality in general is not bad. However, one of the clamping screws to level the smartphone is a bit difficult to tighten or loosen, as it gets stuck. The app is vey weak, there is some lag when doing live video recording and some functions do not work properly, such as panning or face tracking. The zoom button is not well located for more ergonomic use.

This is a cheaper version than a DJI gimbal but much more affordable. For comparison the Gimbal DJI Osmo Mobile 3 costs around 110€ while the Gimbal Jcrobot s5 costs 55€.
